Pompeii ticket prices: Express, Plus and passes
Pompeii Express costs €20 for the ancient city. Pompeii Plus costs €25 and adds the suburban villas. Compare the €30 Grande Pompei three-day ticket and €45 MyPompeii annual card below, then check availability through the Archaeological Park's official booking link.
Where should you buy the ticket you choose?
VivaTicket is the Archaeological Park’s exclusive online ticket seller. The Park also operates ticket offices at its entrances. It does not publish a fixed ticket-release cadence or promise that a reseller or tour has a separate guaranteed allocation.

Prices below are the admission amounts published by the Park. An online service charge may appear during checkout. Check the official page before buying because products and conditions can change.

Express or Plus: the difference is €5. Choose Express for the ancient city alone, or Plus when the suburban villas are part of your route. Extra included sites still need visiting time: a wider ticket does not extend opening hours or guarantee that every building is open. Prices and hours were checked against the Park’s official tariff on 10 October 2026.
The official reduced ticket is €2 for eligible EU citizens aged 18 to under 25 and the other categories listed by the Park. The MyPompeii reduced annual price is €10 for qualifying visitors under 25. Free admission categories require the documents specified by the Park.
What time does Pompeii open and close?
The main archaeological site opens at 09:00 in both seasons. December 25 and January 1 are the standard annual closure dates published by the Park.

Questions about ticket inclusions
Does Pompeii Express include the Villa of the Mysteries?
No. Pompeii Express covers the ancient city and excludes the suburban villas. Choose Pompeii Plus if your route includes the Villa of the Mysteries, Villa of Diomedes, or the listed Boscoreale sites. Check which buildings and routes are open for your date.
Does Grande Pompei include Herculaneum or Mount Vesuvius?
No. Grande Pompei covers the sites listed in the Pompeii Archaeological Park product. Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius have separate admission systems, so arrange their tickets and travel separately.
Does a Pompeii admission ticket include a guide or transport?
Standard admission does not automatically include a guide, audio guide, or travel from Naples, Sorrento, or Rome. Some wider Park products list the Pompeii Artebus shuttle between participating sites; that is different from transport to Pompeii. A commercial tour must state its admission and transport inclusions.
Can I leave Pompeii and re-enter with the same ticket?
Pompeii Express and Pompeii Plus permit one entry with no re-entry. Grande Pompei is valid for three days but allows one entry to each listed site on its opening days. Plan breaks and the order of visits before leaving a site.
Once you have chosen a product, check the entrance that fits your route and how much time to allow inside Pompeii.
Before checkout
- Use the exact visitor names requested during checkout and bring matching identification.
- A mobile or printed PDF ticket is accepted; keep it available for scanning.
- Tickets normally cannot be changed or refunded, except when the Park closes extraordinarily under its published rules.
- Organized groups may contain no more than 35 visitors under the current regulations.
- Bags larger than 30 × 30 × 15 cm are not permitted inside the archaeological area.
